Buda Oaks Assisted Living and Memory Care held another successful Kentucky Derby event for the fifth year. The festive occasion, held at the senior living community, brought joy and excitement to residents, staff, and community members alike, setting a new record for attendance.
The event featured various activities, including the much-anticipated Best Hat contest and the thrilling Big Race event where residents rolled giant dice and horses “raced” down a track. Carolyn H. was honored with the Best Hat award, impressing everyone with her creative and fabulous flair. In the Big Race, Miss B. Haven triumphed again, maintaining her top spot on the leaderboard for another consecutive year.
This year’s event saw the highest attendance yet, proving the community’s ability to promote enthusiasm and get residents involved in the fun. The positive energy and participation from everyone who attended made the day memorable.
“The 5th Annual Kentucky Derby event was a blast for everyone. We are already looking forward to next year’s celebration,” Executive Director Susan LaBree shared. “Our residents had the time of their lives, and we are immensely grateful to our dedicated staff and supportive community partners who helped make this fan-favorite event possible. We are committed to making it even bigger, better, and more unforgettable next year.”
Buda Oaks Assisted Living and Memory Care extends heartfelt thanks to all who participated and contributed to the event’s success.
